The operating organization of the Boston Chapter is led by the Board of Directors (BOD) which includes all officers of the chapter and general directors. The BOD shall meet a minimum of four times per year. The principal focus of the BOD is setting annual and longer-term objectives, and establishment of strategies for the achievement of the goals and objectives. The Chapter shall hold an annual meeting, to announce the annual program, summarize the year's results and hold elections. The meeting may be held as an agenda item of another Chapter event. Additional chapter guidance and oversight is furnished through Advisory Board members.
The Boston Chapter currently has the following Standing Committees, each chaired by a BOD member:
Executive Committee
To be responsive to the mission and to refine governance for effective use of personnel and time.
Finance Committee
To provide for the financial resources to carry out the mission, including supervision of all investments
Development Committee
To sustain current chapter sponsors, recruit new sponsors, and to develop partnerships with other professional organizations and educational institutions.
Membership Committee
To develop and maintain current chapter membership, and recruit new members.
Programs Committee
To coordinate the production of chapter programs promoting the application of CE/IPD and disseminate information about current theory and practice
Marketing and Publicity Committee
To manage all chapter communication efforts, including regular newsletters and chapter website.
In addition, the Boston Chapter plays a vital role in the production of the annual WW SCPD conference. Supported by a conference committee consisting of Boston chapter individual and BOD members, efforts are led by two conference co-chairs: Conference Program chair and the Conference Production chair.
