SCPD –San Diego’s Board of Directors (BOD) is in the process of re-engineering itself to provide a credible and self-sustaining organization.  The re-organization is based on populating the BOD with top ranking officials in product development practices from a broad cross-section of companies and functional representations. It is this critical mix of leadership from a variety of technology based companies that will place SCPD-San Diego at the cutting edge of product development management science and technology.  Our members benefit from this rich mix of industry experts by the dissemination of the latest practices and technologies in the expansive Product Development Body of Knowledge.

The purpose of the BOD is to set the annual and long-term objectives and strategies to meet our goals and objectives.  The BOD meets four times per year.

 2004-2005 Goals:

• Populate BOD with high-ranking officials and decision-makers in product development processes from 15 separate companies within the greater San Diego community.
• Establish regular programs (three to four times per year) and contact with the members.
• Establish policies and procedures to meet critical short-term membership and fiscal needs.
• Develop strategic plan for FY2003-2004.

 Fiscal Year: July 1st to June 30th.
